13.07.2017 - GQ Germany strengthens focus on style: Marcus Lucas is Deputy of the Editor-in-Chief / Marco Rechenberg is Deputy Editor-in-Chief

GQ Germany´s Editor-in-Chief Tom Junkersdorf restructures the editorial office with new positions for Marcus Lucas and Marco Rechenberg. Marcus Lucas, a member of the chief editorial board, will rise to Deputy of the Editor-in-Chief, with significant and decisive capacity. Marco Rechenberg, currently Style Editor of GQ and Executive Editor of GQ Style and GQ´s watch magazine „GQ Uhren“ is further elevated to Deputy Editor-in-Chief.

 
Regarding the reorganization of the Chief Editorial Board, Tom Junkersdorf is „excited to strengthen GQ´s standing as the leading style magazine for men with this great team. Marcus Lucas is an experienced magazine-maker. He has the right sensibility for sophisticated features, to inspire and entertain our readers and further development of the GQ brand. Already an internationally recognized fashion expert, Marco Rechenberg is both a watch industry connoisseur and a fantastic writer.“ 

Marcus Lucas has been Deputy Editor of GQ since 2015. Previously he was Managing Editor with Yahoo Germany, ran the entertainment section of Bravo Magazine and was an editor with Bunte magazine. As a graduate of „Deutsche Journalistenschule“ he worked at GQ as a freelance editor from 2005 to 2006.
 
Marco Rechenberg joined GQ as Style Editor in 2010 and has been the Executive Editor of GQ Uhren since 2013 and GQ Style as of 2017. He will retain these assignments as a part of his new role as Deputy Editor-in-Chief. Prior to GQ, Marco Rechenberg served as an editor with Vanity Fair Germany. Concurrent with his law studies (Universität Hamburg, Boston University, Harvard University) he was an editor for Tempo-founder Markus Peichl and project manager of the Lead Awards.
